Nedvang was set up in 2005 by producers and importers as a way of collectively implementing the Dutch Packaging Decree. Nedvang plays a directing role in policy on packaging, waste and recycling in The Netherlands. Companies can count on Nedvang to find the most economic solution with the highest environmental return for each waste stream.
Nedvang stands for Nederland van afval naar grondstof [The Netherlands from waste to value]. Under this motto, Nedvang will be helping companies meet their responsibilities under the Packaging Decree. The most important target in the Decree is to recycle 70% of the approximately 3,4 million tonnes of used packaging generated every year. Nedvang’s task is to help companies achieve this target.
